Dan Content Manager

“...I'm constantly provided with opportunities to stretch out of my comfort zone and grow as a leader.“

I graduated from West Chester University in 2013 and, like many English majors, wasn't sure what I was going to do with my degree. In 2014, I started working at WebstaurantStore as a paid intern and quickly moved into a full time position as a Content Writer, writing product descriptions for the website. Recognizing that this is a place that cultivates new ideas and innovation, I jumped at the chance to lead the Content Department's new Editing Team when the manager position was offered to me a few months later. Because of the great team dynamics and emphasis on culture, I was able to make the transition to my new role with confidence.

Every day brings a new set of challenges and I'm constantly provided with opportunities to stretch out of my comfort zone and grow as a leader. Working to overcome these challenges brings a sense of achievement and satisfaction. One of my favorite parts of working at WebstaurantStore is getting to see the same kind of growth in my coworkers and employees as they develop personally and professionally.

I graduated from West Chester University in 2012 with a degree in Fine Arts. I ended up not wanting to pursue creating art as my career, but it was so beneficial to have a liberal arts education background from a state university. Knowing a number of people who already worked at WebstaurantStore was a great window into what the company culture and experience was like; when I was looking for a new career path, it made sense to look at WebstaurantStore.

WebstaurantStore has a great work environment - laidback but hardworking, where management recognizes your efforts and abilities, and growth is encouraged.
